Jhapa: Kankai & Mount Everest Sporting Club Enter Final Of Women's Championship
Kankai women's team and Mount Everest sporting club, Sunsari have entered final of women's championship at Kakarvitta, Mechinagar, Jhapa.
Kankai defeated Phidim sporting club 2-1 in semifinal match played on Tuesday.
Pabitra Rai and Rima Tamang scored apiece for the winners. Smriti Rai scored one for Phidim. Rima Tamang became the player of the match.
In another semifinal match, Mount Everest defeated Tarun Sangh, West Bengal in sudden death to enter final. Both teams had played 1-1 draw.
The championship has a winning purse of Nrs 40,000 while runners up team will get Nrs 20,000. Final match will be played on February 21.
