ANFA president Karma Tsering Sherpa said that his team was doing everything possible to develop Nepalese football and was adopting zero tolerance in corruption.

Speaking in press meet organized by ANFA in Lalitpur, Sherpa said, “In nine months, we have done so many things and we have achieved so many things as well. We have prepared short term and long term plan to shape up Nepalese football. Most importantly, we have maintained transparency. We have also done sponsorship deals with different organizations generating revenue for the organization.

“We are using automation in our office, we have prepared required guidelines for finance, employees and other important aspects. We are working hard to shape up district league, provincial league, national league and martyr’s memorial league. There are many positive things that we have done in these nine months”, said Sherpa.

“It’s sad to see some people have come up with baseless allegations”, he was referring to four district FAs.

“We are open to any investigation at ANFA because we know we have done nothing wrong”, said Sherpa.

Four district FAs; Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Dhadhing and Lalitpur have accused current leadership of wrongdoing at ANFA election. These districts are closed to suspended Ganesh Thapa and his in-law Mani Kunwar.

“We are prepared to tell the facts (to everyone). The audiotapes don’t prove that there was vote buying in the election. It was doctored by (Tashi Ghale). He used other DFAs. We wish he would hold press meet by himself”, answered Sherpa while replying questions asked by journalists.

On Thursday, ANFA removed Tashi Ghale’s honorary presidency post.

Sherpa confirmed that they had to remove Ghale from the post because he was against the ANFA.

Sherpa also answered why they received money from Hotel view bhrikuti and provided different hotel bills to AFC & SAFF.

“We had agreement with View Bhrikuti. There is provision that you need to invest in Nepalese football if you are associated with ANFA. The money is not in personal account, its in ANFA’s account”, said Sherpa.

He also clarified that different hotel bills to AFC & SAFF was as per facilities provided to the teams.

“In AFC run tournaments, only two players were allowed in a room whereas there were more than two players in SAFF run tournaments. We are open to any investigation from AFC or FIFA. We know we have done nothing wrong”, added Sherpa.

He also added that ANFA’s disciplinary committee would investigate the issue about four districts and would take action against them if needed.

AFC has already responded to application filed by dissident officials and has asked ANFA to clarify before mid February.

"We will reply to AFC with all details", added Sherpa.
