Sunrise FM has won the title of Jhapa media cup football tournament.

Sunrise FC defeated Jana Samsad/Loktantra daily in sudden death to lift the title on Saturday.

Both teams played 2-2 draw in regulation time. The champions received Rs 31,000 while runners up team got Rs 15,000.

Birtamod mayor Dhruba Kumar Shiwakoti, Arjundhara ward 10 chairman Baldeb Gomden, ward 11 chairman Bhairb Khadka distributed prizes to the winners.

Prakash from Sunrise FM became the man of the match. Tournament coordinator Ramesh Samadarshi awarded him with Rs 1,000 cash.

Suman BK received the man of the tournament award while National Media group got the fair play award.

Susham Rajbanshi was adjudged the best coach, Sabin Khawas the best goalkeeper, Indrajit Mukhiya the best midfielder, Arun Rai the best defender and Sachin Subba the best forward. All of them got Rs 1500 cash each.
