News Martyr's Memorial A Division League: Nepal Army Survives NRT Scare In The Opener

Nepal Army survived New Road Team (NRT) scare in the opening match of Martyr's memorial A Division league at ANFA complex, Satdobato.

They were close to bitter defeat but last-second in-direct free kick saved them from losing valuable three points. Santosh Tamang scored in a dying moment to level the score 2-2.

Earlier Rojit Pudasaini had put NRT ahead in the match in 12th minute. Santosh Tamang leveled the score in 38th through controversial spot kick.

Rajesh Pariyar again provided lead to NRT in 64th minute but they were poured cold water in the stoppage time.

Santosh Tamang scored in a goal mouth meleee following another controversial in-direct free kick decision by the referee Sudis Pandey.

NRT officials appeared angry after the match. They accused referee for being completely biased.


NRT goalie Ajit Prajapati was adjudged the man of the match. He received Rs 10,000 cash.
