News ANFA Bids Farewell To Nepal National Team For SAFF Championship 2018

All Nepal Football Association(ANFA) has bidden farewell to Nepal National Team for SAFF Championship 2018.

Minister of Youth and Sports Jagat Bahadur Bishwakarma, Nepal Sports Council member secretary Keshab Kumar Bista, ANFA President Karma Tsering Sherpa and other ANFA officials bade farewell and wished good luck to the team in a program organized at ANFA Complex on Sunday.

The team is flying to Dhaka today to compete in SAFF Suzuki Cup 2018 that is scheduled on September 4-15 in Dhaka.

Final squad:

Goalkeepers: Kiran Kumar Limbu, Bikesh Kuthu, Alan Neupane.

Defenders: Dinesh Rajbansi, Devendra Tamang, Biraj Maharjan (C), Ananta Tamang, Aditya Chaudhary, Rohit Chand, Suman Aryal.

Midfielders: Hemant Thapa Magar, Heman Gurung, Bishal Rai, Sunil Bal, Sujal Shrestha, Nirajan Khadka.

Forwards: Bharat Khawas, Bimal Gharti Magar, Nawayug Shrestha, Anjan Bista.

Nepal are grouped with Bangladesh, Bhutan and Pakistan in group A while India are pitted against Sri Lanka and Maldives.

Nepal will open campaign against Pakistan on September 4. Gorkhalis will then face Bhutan and hosts Bangladesh on September 6 and September 8 respectively.

Semifinal matches are scheduled on September 12. Final match will be played on September 15.
