News 4th Mai Valley Gold Cup: Nepal Army Club Through To Semis

Nepal Army Club advanced to last eight defeating United Sikkim FC 3-1 in the third quarterfinal match of 4th Mai Valley Gold Cup at Thulo Tudikhel, Ilam on Wednesday.

Dinesh Henjan scored the opener for Army in the 15th minute. Super Sub Indrajit Chettri equalized the score in the 71st minute.

Nawayug Shrestha put Army ahead in the 76th minute. Bharat Khawas netted in 90+1 minute to make 3-1 scoreline in favour of Army.

Santosh Tamang was declared the man of the match. He received Rs.10,000.

Nepal Army Club will next play against Manang Marshyangdi Club in the first semifinal match on Baisakh 14. 

Nepal Police Club will take on Three Star Clun in the last quarterfinal match tomorrow.

USFC first XI: Pintso Sherpa(GK), Kuna Tamang, Palsang Lama(C), Ajzal Ansari, Amrit Tamang, Roshan Pradhan, Empho Hary Subba, Prashant Chettri, Lhandup Bhutia, Sanjay Shaffi, Karan Rai.

Nepal Army Club first XI: Bikesh Kuthu(GK), Jitendra Karki, Bimal Panday, Bikash Khawas, Suman Aryal, Santosh Tamang, Padam Tamang, Dinesh Henjam, Bharat Khawas(C), George Prince karki, Nawayug Shrestha.
