Mai Valley FC has completed its preparation for Mai Valley gold cup.

The tournament is kicking off on Baisakh 6 at Ilam Tundikhel. This is the first major tournament of the season.

12 teams are participating in the championship, which has a winning purse of Rs 6,66,666. Runners up team will get Rs 4 lakh.

The most valuable player of the tournament will get one motorbike. The highest goal scorer will get Rs 25,000. Man of the match will get Rs 10,000 cash.

The organizers have constructed makeshift parapets which can accommodate 10,000 fans, club president Dhiren Chemjong told GoalNepal.

Hosts Mai Valley will play against Kaski XI in the opening match.
