Bangladesh U20 has started SAFF U20 championship in style.

Bangladesh thrashed Sri Lanka 9-1 in the opening match at Bashundhara Kings stadium in Dhaka.

Sagorika (37’, 53’, 58’) scored a hat trick while Sapana Rani (2’), Munki Akhter (5’ 18’), Sinha Jahan (50”), Rupak Akter (86”) and Shanti Mardi (90+4) scored other goals. Layansika Jasotharan scored a consolation goal for Sri Lanka in 90+2.

Nepal will take on Bhutan later this evening.
