
In the ongoing ANFA Women’s League National Football Tournament, the strong contender Nepal Police Club was held to a goalless draw by Chandrapur Municipality on Wednesday.
Despite the result, Police remains in solid form, accumulating 12 points from 6 matches and sitting in third place. Chandrapur, with 7 points, is currently in sixth position.
In another match, Karnali Province achieved their first victory of the tournament by defeating Sudurpaschim Province 3-0. Barsha Oli, Bhumika Budhathoki, and Garima Rai each found the back of the net for Karnali. This win brings Karnali's total to 4 points from 6 games, placing them in ninth position, while Sudurpaschim struggles at the bottom of the league table.
With 10 teams competing, the league champion will receive a cash prize of 1 million, while the runner-up will take home 500,000. Additional cash rewards have been set aside for standout players throughout the tournament.
