News Laxmi Paudel & Dipa Adhikari Set Records After Playing Football At The Lowest Point On Earth

Two Nepal internationals, Laxmi Paudel and Dipa Adhikari have set records after playing football at the lowest point on earth (-320m) in Jordan.

Women from more than 20 countries completed double world record with Dead sea game ending 4-2, dedicated to promoting gender equality in sport.

The battle between two all-female teams composed of players from countries as diverse as Afghanistan, France and Nepal ended 4-2 but women walked away with a second world record under their belt.

The game, on a specially constructed pitch sponsored by HRH Prince Ali at the lowest point accompanies their Guinness world records for the highest altitude match, played at 5714m in the crater at the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro just nine months ago.

Dipa Adhikari has now become the first female player from Nepal to play in both occasions.

"We are very happy to set Guinness world records", both players said in unison.

The match was arranged by Equal playing field.
