With the rainy season halting tournaments in Nepal, this influx of players is capitalizing on the vibrant football scene in North East India, which is buzzing with matches in celebration of the 78th Independence Day of India.

This annual migration offers substantial financial incentives for Nepali players, with many earning upwards of a lakh (100,000) rupees per month. Notable Nepali internationals are reportedly making more than 2 lakh rupees during their stint. The allure of these lucrative deals is significant, attracting both seasoned players and FIFA referees to officiate the matches.

The high stakes also bring concerns about player safety, with injuries being a noted risk in the intensive match schedules.
