Sankata Club has registered the first win of the season while NRT maintained its claim of title under the ANFA Youth League U-18 football tournament.
NRT defeated Machindra Football Club by 3 goals against Zeroka in the match at ANFA Complex located in Satdobato. After this result, NRT, who have collected 13 points from 6 games, have tied the points with the top team Nepal Police Club.
However, the police have played one game less. Similarly, defeated Machindra has 11 points from 6 games and has maintained himself in the race for the top three.
In the next match which took place on Wednesday, Sankata Club defeated Tribhuvan Army Football Club 2-1 while getting their first win. After this win, Sankata has 6 points from 6 games and has managed to climb towards the middle of the league table. The defeated army has 4 points in its account.
A total of 12 teams are participating in the competition based on double round robin league. The team that gets the top position in the league will be the winner. The winner will receive 1 lakh in cash along with the title, while the second place team will receive 50,000.
