News Morang: Fourth Mills Gold Cup Kicks Off

Armed Police Force (APF) Pakali Sunsari has reached the semi-finals of the 4th edition of the Mills Gold Cup football tournament.

In the inaugural match organized by the Mills Gold Cup Football Trust at Biratnagar Jute Mill Stadium on Friday, APF reached the semi-finals by defeating Bardibas 4-1.

Hari Karki of APF scored two goals, Dishan Rai and Dhan Bahadur Shrestha scored 1 each for the victory. Pawan Pakhrin of Bardibas scored the consolation goal. With the win, APF will play the first semi-final match on Sunday against the winner between Biratnagar and Kankai Sporting Club Surunga Jhapa.

The man of the match was Hari Karki of APF. He got 3000 in cash.

The Saturday match of the tournament will be between Pema Yuva Club Biratnagar and Peer Football Club Dharan Sunsari.

Chairman Bishnu Dangol informed that 8 teams of state level 'A' division participated in the competition organized by Mills Gold Cup Football Trust.

The final of the competition will be held on 15th of Baisakh. The game coordinator Manoj Khadka informed that the winner of the competition will get Rs 2 lakh 11 thousand 100 and the runner-up will get Rs 1 lakh 11 thousand 1 hundred.
