In the 17th AFC Futsal Asian Cup which started in Thailand, along with the host Thailand, one of the contenders, Uzbekistan and Iraq have started victoriously.
While Thailand won 3-1 over China in Group A, Vietnam and Myanmar drew 1-1 in the next match of the same group. In the second match of the group stage, Vietnam will face China on April 19, while Thailand will play Myanmar on the same day.
Similarly, in Group B, Uzbekistan defeated Australia 3-2, while in the next match, Iraq won an impressive 5-1 victory over Saudi Arabia. In the second match of the group stage, Australia will play against Saudi Arabia on April 19, while Iraq and Uzbekistan will also face each other on the same day.
A total of 16 teams from Asia participating in the competition have been divided into four groups. The top two teams from each group will enter the knockout stage. The final will be held on 28 April. Japan is the defending champion of the tournament.
