Memory Youth Club, Sonapur, Sunsari entered the finals of the ongoing 3rd Sonapur Gold Cup Knockout Football Tournament with an impressive win. In the second semi-final held on Thursday, Memory beat Bardibas Nagar Club, Bardibas 5-0 and came close to the title.

Nitesh Shrestha, Bijay Bhujel, Buwan Basnet, Asim Rai and Bibesh Mishra scored one goal each in the match at Bishnu Mavi's playground in Sonapur, Duhabi-8. Memory's Vijay Bhujel was declared the man of the match.

Memory will face Itahari Football Club, Sunsari in the final on Saturday 1st Baisakh for the title. Itahari defeated Damak Football Academy, Jhapa 3-0 in the first semi-final only on Wednesday and entered the final.

Organizers informed that the winner of the tournament organized by Memory Youth Club, Sunsari, will receive 2,11,000 cash along with the title, while the runner-up will receive 1,0,5500.
