News 14th Itahari Gold Cup: Tribhuwan Army FC Enters Final

Tribhuvan Army Football Club, Kathmandu has entered the finals of the Control Lubricants 14th Itahari Gold Cup International Invitational Knockout Football Tournament in Itahari.

In the first semi-final held on Wednesday, Army defeated defending champs, Sagarmatha Youth Club, Morang in a tiebreaker and managed to come close to the title. Before that, both teams played a goalless draw in the scheduled time match at Itahari Stadium.

In the tiebreaker, Army won 2-1 over Everest and secured the final spot. Army goalkeeper Bikesh Kuthu was declared man of the match. Under the competition, the second semi-final match on Thursday 15th Chaitra will be played between the organizers Rashtriya Jagriti Club, Itahari and Church Boys United Club, Kathmandu.

The winner of the inaugural competition, organized by Rastriya Jagriti Club, Itahari, will receive 10 lakhs in cash along with the title, while the runner-up will receive 5 lakhs. The final match will be held on the 17th of Chaitra.
