Sanjit Rai, defender of the winning team Church Boys United, has been declared the best player of the Jhapa Gold Cup. He became the best and received a Yamaha company motorcycle.
Similarly, the church boys were also honored in other category awards.
Deep Karki of Church Boys was the best goalkeeper, Serge Dicka of Church Boys was the best defender, Awayomi Phakunle was the best scorer along with the best forward and Sharan Basnet of APF was chosen as the best midfielder.
Similarly, Ruwen Rai of Church Boys was the best coach. Jhapa-11 captain Pema Tamang won the emerging player award. They received 25,000 cash prizes.
Remember, in the final match at the Domalal Rajbanshi Stadium in Birtamod on Monday, the Church Boys managed to capture the title for the first time by defeating the APF Football Club by 3 goals against Zero.
