The schedule of the Arna Jhapa Gold Cup football tournament, which will be held from Falgun 19, has been announced today (Wednesday).
10 teams including A division clubs are participating in the Gold Cup. In the opening match of the Gold Cup, the departmental team APF FC of the Armed Police Force will compete against Sankata Football Club.
Similarly, another departmental team, Nepal Police Club, will compete against the A Division League champion Church Boys United on Falgun 20 for entering the quarter finals. The winner of the opening match will play the first quarter final match against Bagmati Yuva Club of Sarlahi.
Likewise, the winner of the match between Nepal Police and Church Boys on Falgun 22 will play the second quarter-final match against New Road Team (NRT).
In the third quarter-final match on 23rd Falgun, the departmental team Tribhuvan Army Football Club will compete against the two-time A Division League champions Machhindra FC.
According to the organizer Jhapa Gold Cup, Jhapa 11 FC will compete against Anfa Makwanpur in the last quarter-final match on 24th of Falgun.
International Jhapali Society is the main co-sponsor and Birtamod Municipality is the patron. The final match of Jhapa Gold Cup will be held on 29th of Falgun. The winner of the Gold Cup will get an attractive trophy with cash of 13 lakhs.
It is estimated that NRs 10.4 million will be spent to complete the sixth edition of the Jhapa Gold Cup.
