News Gandaki Province Clinches Title Of 6th Rhino Conservation Gold Cup

Gandaki province won the title of the 6th Rhino Conservation Gold Cup National Knockout Football Tournament.

In the final, Gandaki became the champion by defeating 28 Bigaha Yuva Club, Kawasoti 2-1.

Mukund Nyure scored both goals for Gandaki in the title match at Rhino Stadium in Madhyabindu Municipality-2 Kolhuwa. Anjal Maharjan scored the only goal for the defeated 28 Bigaha.

Gandaki, who became the winner, received 8 lakhs in cash along with the title, while the runner-up, 28 Bigahas, had to settle for 4 lakhs.

Gandaki's Mukund Neure was selected as the man of the match in the final match. In other categories, Gandaki's goalkeeper Akash Ranbhat was declared the best player of the tournament.

Similarly, Mukund Newre of Gandaki and Sameer Taman of 28 Bigaha jointly won the award for the highest scorer. The winning players were awarded by Shridhar Sharma, member secretary of Gandaki Sports Council, the chief guest of the closing program.

A total of 12 teams participated in the competition which started from 27th Magh under the organization of Rhino Club, Madhyabindu-4, Nawalpur.
