News Nepal Police School Sanga Wins Title Of 1st NAFPS Cup

Nepal Police School Sanga has won the title of the first Inspector General of Armed Police Running Trophy Inter-School Football Tournament held on the occasion of the 19th Foundation Day of Nepal APF School Kirtipur.

In the final match, Police School defeated the host APF School Kirtipur (A) 6-5 in penalty shootout and won the title. Before that, both the teams played a goalless draw in the scheduled match.

The winning Police School received a title and cash of 30,000, while the runner-up APF School was satisfied with a trophy, medal and certificate along with 20,000 in cash.

On the academic side, Dipsan Periyar of Nepal Police School Sanga was selected as the man of the match in the final match. Dipsan also won the best goalkeeper award. The best player of the tournament was Tenzing Sherpa of Nepal APF School Kirtipur, while the top scorer was Dig Vijay Shahi of Sainik Residential College. Similarly, Sainik Residential College became a disciplined team.

The winners and runners-up were awarded by Raju Aryal, the chief guest of the closing ceremony.
