Green Village Education Foundation Kirtipur and Jems School Dhapakhel tied on the third day of the inter-school Armed Police Inspector General Running Trophy football tournament held at Nepal APF School in Kirtipur, Kathmandu.

In the competitive match, the match ended in a tie after both teams tied 1-1.

In the match, Pratyush Hamal scored on behalf of Green Village Education Foundation, while Joyal Lama scored for James School. Ashish Pandey of James was chosen as the man of the match.

In the second and final match of the day, Nepalaya Public English School, Jorpati defeated Harati Shiksha Mandir Sitapaila by 5-0. Sandesh Gaudel and Ranvir Tamang scored 2-2 goals for Nepali and Harati Shiksha Mandir gifted 1 goal. Chenga Lama from Nepal was declared the best in the game.

As part of the competition, Green Village Secondary School Kirtipur will face Little Angels School, Hattivan Lalitpur while Nepal Police School Sanga will face Kavya School, Buddhanagar Kathmandu on Thursday.

According to the organizer, in the competition, games will be conducted between 19 teams from 17 schools in Kathmandu valley and one from Kavre district on a league-cum-knockout basis.

The competition, which has a winning prize of 50,000, will continue until Falgun 8.
