The Tribhuwan Army FC has finally won the title by defeating the five-time title winners Three star Youth Club 3-0 in the final held in Pokhara on Saturday.

Gillespy Jang Karki, Fatteman Ghale and Basant Zimba scored 1-1 goals in the victory of Army, who had reached the final 4 times before and failed to win the title.

Gillespie scored in the 38th minute of the game to give Army the first lead. Siddhant Choudhary's shot through Gillespie's head, which was unmarked on the left side of the opponent's box in the corner, was directly converted into a goal. Three Star's keeper Abhishesk Baral had no chance to stop the ball.

Army's Fatteman Ghale doubled the lead by scoring in the 83rd minute of the game and Basant Zimba scored the third goal in the extra time of the second half to secure the title.

Along with winning the title, Army received a trophy with cash of Rs.12 lakh and one thousand, while the runner-up Three Star received cash of Rs.6 lakh and one thousand.

Bimal Pande became the MVP of the tournament and received one e-scooter.
