The fifth edition of Phidim Nagar Cup football tournament will start from 13th of Poush.

The organizing independent club held a press conference in Fidim and gave information about the competition.

8 teams including the host club will participate in the competition which will be held until January 18th. Bal Bahadur Gurung, chairman of the organizing independent club, informed that 5 clubs out of the participating tees have been finalized. According to him, Young Boys Football Club Ilam, Red Star Football Club Birtamod, Panchthar Football Club, Host Independent Club and Turkeni Sports Club Jhapa have been finalized.

It is said that the other 3 clubs will be finalized soon. Chairman Gurung informed that the winner of the competition will receive 180,000 and the runner-up team will receive 92,000. Gurung informed that it will cost around 1 million to complete the tournament which will be conducted at Baraju Rangshala in Ranitar located in Fidim 7.

Fidim municipality is the promoter of the competition. Ranitar United and Triveni Club are the co-organizers of the tournament.
