News Nepal Super League: Jhapa FC Sneaks Into To Four

Newcomer team Jhapa FC has climbed to the top four of the league table for the second Nepal Super League (NSL) with a sensational victory. In a must-win match on Wednesday, Jhapa beat undefeated Dhangadhi Football Club, considered one of the contenders, 2-0.

Jhapa scored both goals in the second half in the only match at Dasharath Stadium. Jhapa took the lead in the 53rd minute with the goal of captain Anjan Bisht and doubled that lead in the 77th minute with the goal of Samiraj Thoker. The lead which became the decisive result of the game.

In the match, Jhapa's captain Anjan Bist was selected as the player of the match. He received 30,000 cash and a trophy as an award. After this win, Jhapa, who has scored 10 points from 7 games, has risen to the fourth place. And, the possibility of play-off has also been maintained.

On the other hand, Dhangadhi, who suffered their first defeat in the league, lost the opportunity to rise to the top spot. And is in second place with 12 points from 7 games. Pokhara Thunders is in the top position with 14 points and Pokhara has also secured a place in the play-offs.
