Birtamod United FC of Jhapa has entered the semi-finals of the 1st Kirat Gold Cup in Phidim, Panchthar.
Birtamod is the second team to reach the semi-finals.
Jhapa made a place in the last four by defeating Redhorse FC of Ilam in the match 1-0 on Sunday.
The goal scored by Shyam Murmu in the 22nd minute of the game became decisive for Jhapa.
Shyam Murmu scored a goal on a pass made by Roman Bhujel in the penalty area of Elam from the right side. He became the man of the match and managed to get 5000 in cash.
In the opening match, the host Panchthar FC entered the semi-finals by winning against Miteri FC of Tehrathum.
Tomorrow (Monday), DFC Morang will play the third quarterfinal match against United FC of Darjeeling, India. The winner of the final match to be held on Mangsir 23 will get Rs 4 lakh 4 thousand 444 in cash and the runner-up will get Rs 2 lakh 2 thousand 222 in cash and a trophy.
