Tijok Yuva Club Nawami Danda has won the title of football tournament organized by Two Star Rural Creative Club Imbung of Panchthar.

Tijok defended the title by defeating the host Two Star (White) by 1-0 in the final match held on Wednesday at the Inam Sports Ground of Satyahang MA Vi grounds, Falgunanda Rural Municipality 2.

Dipesh Rai's goal became decisive to shock the previous winners Two Star. Tijok's Dipesh Rai proved to be the hero in the injury time of the game. He also became the top scorer along with the man of the match.

Two Star's goalkeeper Diwas Nembang was the best player of the 16-team tournament. Similarly, Sudip Nembang of Two Star was the best defender. The best goalkeeper was Tijak's goalkeeper Sougat Angdembe.

The winner Tijok got an attractive trophy with cash of 1 lakh 5 thousand. The runner-up organizer has settled for 65,000 in cash.

Two Star has organized an open men's football tournament on the occasion of the historic Barahkshetra Kartike Purnima Mela.

The winners and runners-up teams were given prizes by Village Chairman Brijahang Angdembe, No. 2 Ward President Santosh Kumar Nembang and second prize winner Subas Singer.
