The second edition of the much awaited franchise Nepal Super League (NSL) is starting with grandeur from today. The organizer is Nepal Sports and Event Management Pvt. Ltd. has also informed that all preparations for the competition have been completed.

Defending champion Kathmandu Razors and new entrants Sporting Ilam are facing each other in the opening match of the league starting from 7 pm at Dasharath Stadium. Kathmandu's chief coach is Balgopal Maharjan, while the marquee player is Hisub Thaplia.

On the other hand, the head coach of Ilam is another experienced coach, Meghraj KC, while the marquee player is goalkeeper Bikesh Kuthu. Kuthu also won the Super League title while playing for Kathmandu in the first edition.

Free bus service to spectators

In the second edition of the NSL, which is going to be held in collaboration with the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), ANFA is also running a free bus service for the spectators to reach their destination after the match. However, for the free bus service, the audience will have to show the half-cut of the purchased ticket.

The organizers have also announced the ticket price of the league. According to which ticket price is set at 200 for general and 500 for special. Also, the organizers said that spectators can come to the Dasharath Stadium or buy tickets online through IME Pay.

Also increase in prize money

Similarly, the organizers have informed that this time the prize money of the league has also increased. The director of the league Shreyans Karki said that the winner of the second edition of the league will get a minimum of 7 million to a maximum of 1 crore along with the title.

The other prize amounts have not been disclosed. According to the organizers, it is said that the prize amount will be made more attractive with the support of the audience and everyone. Remember, when Kathmandu Rayzors won the first edition of the Super League, they handed over 3.5 million with the title.

This time, to make the Super League more commercially attractive, an LED perimeter has also been installed at the side of the field. Similarly, the organizers have said that this time they will also bring referees from outside Nepal in the league.

There will be a total of 40 games in the league that will last until the 14th of Paush. Also, all the 9 teams participating in the league have also said that they are ready for the competition.
