Nepal suffered 4-0 loss at the hands of UAE in round 2 qualifiers of FIFA world cup 2026.

The first half concluded with a dominant performance from the United Arab Emirates, leading 4-0. Khalifa Al Hammadi opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a header, assisted by Ali Saleh.

The lead was extended in the 36th minute when Ali Mabkhout converted a penalty with a right-footed shot to the center of the goal. Amrit Shrestha of Nepal received a yellow card in the 35th minute for a foul.

The second half witnessed continued offensive prowess from the United Arab Emirates. Ali Mabkhout added another goal in the 44th minute with a header, assisted by Khalifa Al Hammadi. Fábio Lima sealed the victory with a left-footed shot from the center of the box in the 45+1 minute, assisted by Abdalla Ramadan.

Nepal made strategic substitutions in the 45th minute, bringing in Yogesh Gurung for Amrit Shrestha. Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates made two substitutions, with Mohammed Al Attas replacing Khalifa Al Hammadi and Mohammed Al Baloushi replacing Abdalla Ramadan.

Despite their defensive efforts, Nepal couldn't overcome the formidable performance of the United Arab Emirates, ultimately losing 4-0.
