Active Boys Club, Kharidhunga has won the Bagmati club level first open men's football tournament organized by Dolakha District Football Association.
In the final match, Active Boys defeated Laligunras Youth Club, Charikot with a margin of 2-1 and became the winner.
Active Boys, who became the winners, received 250,000 in cash along with the title, while the runners-up, Laliguras, got 125,000 in trophies, medals and certificates.
Mohan Gurung of Laliguras was declared the best player of the competition in the individual category. He received a trophy along with cash 7500 as an award. Active's Naveen Silwal was the best goalkeeper while Ajay Tamang of Sindhupalchok won the top scorer award.
Similarly, Manoj Shrestha of Active was selected as the best coach. All those who excelled in the individual category won 5,000 each. The winning players were awarded by Kaurav Pandey, President of Dolakha District Football Association, Kundanraj Kafle, Member of Parliament of Bagmati Province, Ishwar Narayan Manandhar, Mayor of Bhimeshwar Municipality, Hira Thokar, President of Melung Rural Municipality and others.
Kaurav Pandey, chairman of the organizer Dolakha District Football Association said that 11 teams from Dolakha, Ramechhap, Sindhupalchok, Kavrepalanchok, Lalitpur, Dhading and Nuwakot are participating in the competition.
