Kolbote FC and Phungnam Sporting FC Chulachuli have entered the semi-finals of Shubh Diwali Cup football tournament organized by the Sports Development Committee at Dokan Danda, Phakphokthum Rural Municipality 7 on Thursday.

Kolbote defeated Juntara FC Mangsebung by 3-1 in the third quarter-final match at the Janakalyan Mavi Stadium and became the third team to enter the semi-finals.

For Kolbote, Dinesh Sherma took the early lead by scoring within 7 minutes of the game. After 1 minute, Santosh Limbu doubled the lead of the team.

Similarly, in the 49th minute of the game, Shukraj Rai scored another goal to ensure the victory of the team. He was declared man of the match and managed to get cash prize and trophy.

Although captain Manu Limbu scored a goal in the 35th minute for Mangsebung, he could not return to the game. Mangsebung returned home in the second round.

Similarly, in the last quarterfinal match, Chulachuli bet on the tiebreaker. They secured their place in the last four by defeating their rivals Little Kickers FC Damak.

Both teams played a goalless draw at the scheduled time of the game. The game was decided by a tiebreaker. In which Chulachuli defeated Dhaka by 4-2 goal difference and decided to go to the semi-finals. Goalkeeper Yuvin Rai was the man of the match.

16 teams are participating in the competition. The final match of the tournament will be held on November 25th. The winner will get 1 lakh 25 thousand in cash and the runner-up will have to settle for 75 thousand in cash.
