The Nepalese Military Veterans Club (NMVC), headquartered in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) region of the United States, is gearing up to host the inaugural Dashain-Tihar Veterans Cup in Sterling, Virginia on November 4th and 5th.

This historic tournament marks the first-ever event of its kind organized by Nepalese Military Veterans throughout the United States.

A total of 14 teams, comprising the hosting Veterans Club, the US Army Active-duty team, and a formidable lineup of 12 additional teams from various states, will engage in fierce competition during the event. The victorious team will receive a substantial cash prize of $5,000, along with an esteemed trophy and medals, while the runner-up will be rewarded with a $2,500 cash prize, a trophy, and medals. The third-place team will secure a cash prize of $750, a trophy, and medals. Anticipating an audience of over 500 attendees, this tournament promises to be a highly competitive and thrilling spectacle.

Established in 2020 by Ashish Sangroula and Sandip Banstola, this Veterans Club boasts a membership exceeding 70 active individuals, encompassing US Military Veterans, and those presently serving in Active Duty, National Guard, and Reserve capacities.

The core objective of this club is to foster a sense of community among Nepalese Military veterans within the DMV region, offering mutual support whenever required. Furthermore, the club actively contributes voluntary services to nonprofit organizations within the area, underlining its commitment to giving back to the community.
