In a captivating showdown, the host team, Rajabas Youth Club, has secured their berth in the quarter-finals of the 22nd Rajabas Challenge Cup Open Knockout Football Tournament.
In the most recent pre-quarterfinal match held on Thursday, Rajabas triumphed over Chatra Football Club with a score of 2-1, earning them a well-deserved spot in the quarter-finals. The pivotal goals for Rajabas were netted by Rony Bista and Santosh Shrestha on the field at Saraswati Mavi's playground, while Anang Rai managed to score for the valiant but defeated Chatra team.
Santosh Shrestha of Rajabas received the prestigious title of "Man of the Match" in recognition of his outstanding performance. In accordance with the competition schedule, the first quarter-final match, set to take place on Friday, the 17th of Kartik, will feature Nava Yuva Club competing against Talatalaiya Football Club, as confirmed by the tournament organizers.
Notably, the victor of this tournament, organized by Rajabas Youth Club, situated in Barah Kshetra-9, Rajabas, Sunsari, will be awarded a substantial cash prize of 51,000 along with the coveted title, while the runner-up will receive a commendable prize of 35,000.
