Vanasthali Youth Society and Mahadev Youth Club have successfully secured their spots in the quarter-finals of the ongoing 6th NAICAP Gold Cup Open Knockout Football Tournament, taking place at the Naikap Stadium.

In the tournament's opening match on Wednesday, Vanasthali emerged victorious, defeating Barca Nepal with a scoreline of 2-1. Bipan Shrestha and Sudip Sikhrakar netted goals for Vanasthali, while Jinlab Syangbo found the back of the net for Barca Nepal. Angel Shrestha, the agile goalkeeper of Vanasthali, earned the accolade of the Man of the Match.

Similarly, in the day's second match, Mahadev Youth Club showcased their dominance, overwhelming Vimsen Youth Club with an impressive 6-2 victory. Nirav Khadka contributed a remarkable hat-trick, while Samir Gurung notched two goals, and Sabin Karki added another to Mahadev's tally. Anil Balami managed to score both goals for the defeated Vimsen. Nirav Khadka of Mahadev, who secured a hat-trick in the match, was honored as the Man of the Match.

The competition, organized by Chandragiri Sports Academy, located in Chandragiri-14, Naya Naikap, Kathmandu, promises a substantial prize for the victors. The tournament's champions will be awarded a cash prize of 500,000, in addition to the coveted title, while the runners-up will receive 250,000. Mark your calendars for the final match, which is scheduled to take place on the 25th of Kartik.
