The stage is set for an exciting final showdown as Menten FC and Dhuku Hub from Kathmandu have secured their spots in the championship match of the second Open Futsal tournament in Pokhara.

In the initial semi-final encounter, held within the confines of the covered hall at Pokhara Stadium and organized by Rajan and the Brothers, Menten FC triumphed over the home team, Rajan and the Brothers Team 'B,' with a slender 1-0 victory, securing their berth in the final.

Janish Prajapati was the hero, netting the crucial goal in a highly competitive match. Likewise, in the second semi-final, Dhuku Futsal Hub from Kathmandu outclassed Savin Memorial with a 3-1 scoreline to earn their spot in the championship match.

Amit Lama, Abhay Rana, and Bikrant Lama all contributed with one goal each for Dhuku, while Vijay Shrestha provided a consolation goal for Sabin Memorial. According to the competition coordinator, Ashish Chhetri, Maintain FC and Dhuku Futsal Hub will vie for the coveted title at 11 a.m. in the covered hall of Pokhara Stadium.

The winning team is set to receive a substantial cash prize of NPR 5 lakhs, along with a shield, medals, and certificates, while the runner-up will also be rewarded with NPR 3 lakhs, a shield, medals, and certificates. The tournament's best player will be honored with a trophy and NPR 50,000, and top performers such as the best goalkeeper and highest scorer will also be recognized with cash awards.

The tournament, featuring a total of 14 teams representing regions from across the nation, will continue until the 30th, promising an exciting culmination to this dynamic futsal competition.
