Far West XI has entered quarterfinals of 7th Rajarshi Janak cup football tournament in Sarlahi.

Far West XI sidelined UKFC Darjeeling 2-1 in the pre-quarterfinal match played at Santosh memorial stadium on Thursday.

Nayan Pradhan scored first for UKFC Darjeeling but Bharat Tamata leveled the score in 40th minute.

Faguram Tharu scored the match winner in 96' of extra added time.

Faguram Tharu, the goal scorer, became the player of the match and received NRs 10,000 cash.

According to tournament coordinator, Sagar Mainali, NJJYC Simara will play against Nepal Police Club on Friday.

Bagmati yuwa club & Bagmati municipality sports development committee are organizing the event, which has a winning purse of NRs 10 lakh. Runners up team will get NRs 5 lakh.
