News Chartare FC Into The Final Four Of Pittsburg Challenge Cup

Morang - Chartare Football Club, Letang have made it into the semifinals of the Pittsburg Challenge Cup held in Morang's Pathari Shanishchare. Chartare defeated Pathari Camp 3-0 to make it into the final four.

Saujan Yakkha has scored a hat-trick for Letang. The goals scored by Saujan Yakkha in the 13th, 35th and 37th minutes of the game set the stage for Letang to reach the semi-finals. 

Saujan Yakkha, the hat-trick scorer of Chartare Football Club, was declared the man of the match. The chief guest of the competition, Kirat Yakthung Chumlung central member Santosh Sereng, presented the trophy with Rs. 2,500 cash to Yakkha.  Monday's match will be between 10 Navodaya, Pathari and Jahada FC.

According to the organizing committee, the first and second-placed clubs in the competition will be awarded Rs. 2,01,000 and Rs. 1,01,111 respectively. Bikki Rai of the organizing committee said that the man of the match of each game will be awarded Rs. 2,500 cash prize and the other statutory best players will be awarded cash prizes ranging from 5 to 7.5 thousand rupees.

Arjun Bista said that the Pittsburgh football tournament is also being held in America among Nepalis.

According to the organizers, eight teams including Damak Academy, Pathari-11 FC, Chartare FC (Letang), Bhutanese Refugee Camp, Patharishanishare, Belbari FC, Beldangi Bhutanese Refugee Camp, Jahada FC and 10 Navodaya will participate in the tournament.
