Nepal Police Club (NPC) defeated Rupandehi XI 1-0 to enter quarterfinals of 3rd Jhapa gold cup on Sunday.

NPC coach Ananta Raj Thapa said that his team should have scored 3-4 goals against Rupandehi XI.

"We should have scored at least 3-4 goals. But it's okay, we won the match We will improve our performance in next match", Thapa told press in Birtamod, Jhapa.

"I am building new team and I want them to play beautiful football", he added.

He also expressed his views about the tournament.

"Jhapa gold cup is the quality tournament. Ground is good, prizes are good. This will motivate players and clubs to play well. This will help to develop Nepalese football", he added.
