Nepal U-17 National Team are into the final of SAFF U17 Championship going on in Sri Lanka. Nepal emphatically defeated hosts Sri Lanka to make it to the final.

Nepal defeated Sri Lanka 6-0 in what looked to be an easy outing for the young lads. Skipper Prashant Laksam came back into the side after missing the match against India on Saturday.

The returning captain gave Nepal the lead of the match in the 22nd minute of the match. Prashant scored a penalty to give Nepal the lead.

Three minutes later, Unesh Budhathoki continued his fine run of form to blast in a shot to the top corner to give Nepal a 2-0 lead.

Nepal added another five minutes later through Subash Bam to go three goals up. Nepal went 4-0 up in the 38th minute after Niraj Karki's fantastic finish from inside the box. The first half ended 4-0.

Unesh Budhathoki added another in the 51st minute of the match to take the scoreline to 5-0. Substitute Sijal Rai's 90th minute goal took Nepal's tally to six for the night.

Nepal will face India in the final on Wednesday. Earlier in the tournament, Nepal defeated India 3-1. Nepal will be looking to go past India for the second time in the tournament and lift the title.
