Nawa Jana Jagriti Youth Club, Simara have entered the quarter-finals of Isuzu Chitwan Gold Cup International Invitational Football held in Chitwan. In the pre-quarterfinal held on Sunday, Nawa Jana Jagriti defeated Makwanpur-11 3-1 and entered the quarter-finals.
Bibek Chaudhary scored two consecutive goals in the 17th and 24th minutes for Nawa Jana Jagriti in the match held at Campachaur. However, in the 47th minute, Sujan Gurung tried to bring Makwanpur back into the game by scoring a goal but was unsuccessful. On the other hand, in the 70th minute, Srijan Gautam scored the third goal for NJJYC.
Bibek Chaudhary who scored two goals in the match was declared the player of the match. He received Rs. 10,000 cash and a trophy as an award.
The first quarter-final match will be played between Manang Football Club, Kathmandu and Bagmati Municipality, Sarlahi on Monday as informed by the organizers.
The winner of the tournament organized by KBA Global Bharatpur FC, Chitwan, will get a cash prize of Rs. 7,00,000 and the runners-up will receive Rs. 3,50,000. The final match will be held on October 3rd.
