News Nepal Sports Journalists Forum Defeat Annapurna Brussels In A Friendly

Annapurna Brussels Club, a club founded by the Nepalese community in Belgium, and Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) played a friendly futsal match today.  NSJF defeated Annapurna Brussels 5-4 in the match played at the National Sports Center in Chyasal.

Annapurna Brussels Club led twice in this game but couldn't hold it. NSJF's goals were scored by Basu Awal and Dil Tamang who scored two each.  Abhinav Joshi scored the other goal. Annapurna's Santosh Khadka scored two goals. Nirajan Shrestha and Naresh Khadka each scored a goal. Maheshwar Gahatraj, Minister of Youth and Sports, inaugurated the friendly.

Former Nepali National Football Team member Rajukaji Shakya presented the trophy and medals to the winners. Speaking on the occasion, he praised Nepalis who are active in sports despite living abroad and stated that the government is also developing a new plan for Nepali sports development. Devendra Subedi, President of the Nepal Sports Journalist Forum, praised all members of the club for their contributions to the sports world by raising awareness about Nepal while living abroad.

Santosh Khadka, treasurer of Annapurna Brussels Club and team captain, stated that they have always been interested in Nepali sports and have worked to connect Nepalis through various sports activities around the world. Since its inception in 2010, this club has organized football and marathon competitions. Club captain Santosh Khadka confirmed that the club is also registered with the Royal Football Federation of Belgium.
