Diwakar Ghale Gurung has been appointed the team manager of the U-20 national team on Friday afternoon.

The team will be led by Gurung, who is also the President of the Mahabir Club, at the upcoming SAFF U-20 Championship, which will take place in India from July 25 to August 3. He will be in charge of the team during the AFC U-20 Asian Cup Qualifiers, which will take place in Bahrain from September 10 to September 18.

The national U-20 team is currently in closed camp.

On July 25, Nepal will face the Maldives in its opening match of the SAFF U-20 Championship. On July 27, Nepal will play their second game against Sri Lanka, and on July 31, they will play India. On August 2, Nepal will play its final group game against Bangladesh.

In the AFC U-20 Asian Cup Qualifiers, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Qatar, and Bahrain have been paired with the Nepal national U-20 team.

On September 10, Nepal will play its opening game against Bhutan, and on September 12, it will play its second game against Qatar. On September 14, Nepal will play against Bahrain in the third game, and on September 18, Nepal will take the field against Bangladesh.
