Organizers Hemja United have made a victorious start in the sixth Nepal Ice Hemja Gold Cup International Invitational Football Tournament which started in Pokhara on Saturday. 

In the inaugural match played at Gaurishankar Stadium in Hemja, Pokhara-25, Hemja United defeated Birgunj United 3-1.

Suman Aryal scored two goals and Kamal Thapa scored another goal in Hemja's victory. Kripakanth Chaudhary scored the only consolation goal for the defeated Birgunj. 

Suman Aryal, who scored two goals in the game, was also named the player of the match. He received Rs. 5,000 in cash.. With this victory, Hemja have also entered the semi-finals of the competition.

According to the organizers, Church Boys United, Kathmandu and Kalika Sports Academy, Chitwan will face each other tomorrow.

The winner of the tournament organized by Hemja United, Pokhara will receive Rs. 6,00,000 including the title and the runners-up will get Rs. 3,00,000.
