
Bibek Chaudhary was adjudged the player of the match in the opening clash of the Makwanpur Gold Cup between Nawa Jana Jagriti Youth Club, Simara and Bagmati Youth Club, Sarlahi.
Bibek opened the scoring in the earlier minutes of the match to give his team the lead. He received Rs. 10,000 in cash.
Nawa Jana Jagriti Youth Club, Simara have advanced to the quarterfinals of the local level Martyr's Memorial Makwanpur Gold Cup 2079. NJJYC defeated Bagmati Youth Club, Sarlahi 2-0 to advance to the quarterfinals.
NJJYC will now face the home side Bijay Youth Club, Hetauda in the quarterfinals.
12 teams are participating in the tournament where the winners will receive fifteen lakh rupees while the runners-up will receive ten lakh rupees. The player of the tournament will receive a bullet motorcycle.
