News NJJYC, Simara Into The Quarterfinals Of Makwanpur Gold Cup

Nawa Jana Jagriti Youth Club, Simara have advanced to the quarterfinals of the local level Martyr's Memorial Makwanpur Gold Cup 2079. NJJYC defeated Bagmati Youth Club, Sarlahi 2-0 to advance to the quarterfinals.

At the opening match of the tournament played at Piple Stadium in Hetauda, Bibek Chaudhary opened the scoring for NJJYC in the opening minutes of the match. 

After the goal, NJJYC looked comfortable and kept Bagmati from penetrating and creating goalscoring chances. Bagmati had more ball possession but couldn't capitalise on more time on the ball. 

Towards the end of the match, Kirpakanth Chaudhary doubled NJJYC's lead and sealed the victory for them.

Bibek Chaudhary was named the player of the match and received Rs. 10,000 in cash.

NJJYC will now face the home side Bijay Youth Club, Hetauda in the quarterfinals.

Bharatpur Football Club, Chitwan and Church Boys Club will face each other tomorrow.

12 teams are participating in the tournament where the winners will receive fifteen lakh rupees while the runners-up will receive ten lakh rupees. The player of the tournament will receive a bullet motorcycle.

Bagmati Province Chief Minister Rajendra Pandey was the chief guest of the opening ceremony of the tournament. Newly appointed Mayor of Hetauda Sub-Metro Mina Lama and deputy mayor Rajesh Baniya were also among the guests.
