Tribhuwan Army FC have qualified for the semifinals of the fifth Jhapa Gold Cup with a victory over MFC, Darjeeling, India. TAFC defeated MFC 3-0 in a match held at Domalal Rajbanshi Stadium in Birtamod to make it to the final four.

Santosh Tamang gave TAFC the lead in the tenth minute of the match and George Prince Karki doubled the lead in the 35th minute. Bikash Tamang added another in the 68th minute of the match to seal the victory.

Bikash Tamang was named the player of the match and received Rs. 9,999. Army will now face Satdobato Youth Club in the semifinals.
