The seventh Nawajyoti Challenge Cup Football Tournament 2078 is going to be held from February 25 at Adarsha Madhyamik Vidyalaya in Jayapur. It was postponed last year owing to the concern of COVID-19.

The tournament organized by Shree Nawajyoti Youth Club, Buddhashanti-2, Jayapur, Jhapa will consist of teams from Sunsari, Morang, Ilam, Kathmandu, Jhapa, Darjeeling & Siliguri (India) including the organizers.

The competition's winners and runners-up would get cash awards of Rs 150,000 and Rs 75,000, as well as a shield, medals, and certificates.

The completion of the competition is projected to cost Rs. 1.23 million. The club has been holding numerous activities in the fields of sports, culture, and literature in Jayapur since its establishment in 2042 BS.

The tournament is assisted by Buddhashanti Ward no. 2 and Buddhashanti Municipality.
