  Nepal defeated Chinese Taipei 2-0 on Thursday night to keep their hopes alive for AFC Asian Cup 2023.

  Anjan Bista and Nawayug Shrestha scored apiece for Nepal.  

Team Nepal, after the arrival of coach Abdullah Almutairi, is showing some change.

Boys are looking confident, going forward and the most important thing is they are scoring goals.   

Against Chinese Taipei, Nepal had 34 attempts and 16 shots were on target. Two goals in 16 shots on target isn’t bad though.

However, team needs to put more tempo in the midfield and in the striking line.

They are playing against Jordan (June 7) and Australia (June 11).
