Manang Marshyangdi Club (MMC) suffered surprising 3-1 loss at the hands of youthful Nepal Police club in the quarterfinal match of 16th Aaha! RARA Gold cup on Tuesday.

Nir Kumar Rai, Dinesh Rajbanshi and Suman Lama scored apiece for the winners. Bishal Rai scored a consolation goal for MMC.

MMC couldn't field foreign recruits in today's match as they didn't have work permit available.

Coach Lopsang said they suffered loss as they played without foreign recruits.

"Four foreign recruits couldn't play because they didn't have work permit ready. This is one of the reasons why we lost the match. This is a bitter truth that we are heavily relied on them (to win matches). This is the reality", said Lopsang.

NPC will meet Dharan FC in semifinal match on February 1. In another semifinal match, Ruslan Three star club will meet Uttar Baridhara from Bangladesh.
