New Ekata Club has made a winning start in the second New Youth Union Cup organized by New Youth Union Club, Tansen, Palpa.

New Ekta beat Pitfall Brothers FC 2-1 in the opening match at Tundikhel ground in Tansen.

New Ekta's Suraj Shrestha was declared man of the match. With this victory, New Ekta has also entered the quarterfinals.

Prior to that, the tournament was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Tansen Municipality Chairman Santosh Lal Shrestha, Palpa District Football Association Chairman Pranay Bir Jung Rana and others.

Sandeep KC informed that the winner of the competition, which will run until 24th of March, will get 1 lakh in cash along with the title, while the runner-up will get 50,000.
