In the ongoing Jyotipunj Cup Open Knockout Football Tournament, the host team, Jyotipunj Youth Club, has secured their place in the finals. In a thrilling first semi-final match that transpired on Friday, Jyotipunj emerged victorious with a 2-0 scoreline over Bhairav Sports Club from Nawalparasi, thus clinching a spot in the title match.

The star of the day, Mohit Gurung, exhibited his prowess by netting both of Jyotipunj's goals at the Jyotipunj playground, situated in Rampur-7, Kisanbari. Mohit Gurung's stellar performance not only sealed the victory but also earned him the well-deserved title of "Man of the Match."

The anticipation for the tournament's second semi-final is building, with New Youth Union Club of Palpa set to face off against Farsatikar Yuva Club of Rupandehi on Saturday, October 27th, according to Anil Shahi Thakuri.

The ultimate prize for the victor of this competition, masterminded by Jyotipunj Youth Club, Rampur-7, Palpa, is a substantial cash reward of 1 lakh 55 thousand, in addition to the prestigious championship title. The runners-up will be rewarded with 1 lakh 5 thousand, as disclosed by Sudip Gautam, the president of the organizing club. The grand finale, which features a total of 10 participating teams, is slated to unfold on October 28th.
